Design Urgencies

CCQO PhD researcher Annelys de Vet invites you all to Design Urgencies, a three day collaboration between ARIA, Sint Lucas Antwerp, Disarming Design and Sandberg Instituut on conditions for social transformation through design, hosted by zoom.

During a series of lectures, conversations and workshops ‘DESIGN URGENCIES’ explores different design-positions for emancipating processes. How do alternative design approaches deal with conditions of conflict, oppressive forces and entangled histories? How can design pedagogy be a process of collective discovery, attuned to the demands for social justice, antiracist, anti-patriarchal and anti-capitalist struggles? And what tools and conditions can we imagine, develop and use for this?

Presentations and workshops will be held by researchers and students of Sint Lucas and Sandberg. All welcome, please subscribe here.
